How to use the Points Consolidator

Enter your current balances for each frequent flyer and rewards program — Qantas, Velocity, Amex Membership Rewards, and others. The tool adds them up, shows you your total points position, and lets you track changes over time so you can see whether you’re accumulating or burning faster than you’re earning.

No logins, no connecting to your accounts. You enter the numbers manually, which keeps your data completely private and means the tool works regardless of any API changes the programs make.

💡 Pro Tip Check your balances monthly and update the consolidator at the same time. Points expiry is a real risk — Qantas points expire after 18 months of inactivity, Velocity after 24 months. Keeping a running total makes it much harder to accidentally let points lapse.

Once you know your total position, the Lounge Finder will show you which lounges your cards and status unlock — useful context for deciding which program to concentrate your earning in. And if you’re thinking about transferring points between programs, check the transfer rates: Amex Membership Rewards transfers to Qantas at 2:1 and to Velocity at 2:1. Velocity transfers to KrisFlyer at 1.55:1.

Frequently Asked Questions

The consolidator covers the main Australian programs — Qantas Frequent Flyer, Velocity Frequent Flyer, Amex Membership Rewards, KrisFlyer, and others. You can add any program manually, so it works for less common programs too. The tool is designed around the programs most relevant to Australian travellers.

No. You enter your balances manually — just log into each program, check your balance, and type it in. This keeps your data completely private and means there are no third-party connections to your accounts. It takes about two minutes once you have all your tabs open.

Qantas Frequent Flyer points expire after 18 months of account inactivity — any earning or redemption resets the clock. Velocity points expire after 24 months of inactivity. Amex Membership Rewards points do not expire while your card account remains open. KrisFlyer miles expire after 36 months. Keeping your consolidator updated monthly is the easiest way to stay on top of activity across all programs and make sure nothing lapses by accident.

The main transfer rates relevant to Australian travellers are: Amex Membership Rewards to Qantas at 2:1 (2 Amex points = 1 Qantas point), Amex to Velocity at 2:1, and Velocity to KrisFlyer at 1.55:1 (1.55 Velocity points = 1 KrisFlyer mile). Transfer rates and availability change periodically — always verify the current rate before initiating a transfer, as transfers are generally not reversible.

It depends on your goal. If you’re working towards a specific redemption — a business class flight to Europe, for example — concentrating points in one program that covers that route makes sense. If you spread across multiple programs, you may never reach the threshold for the redemptions that offer the best value. The consolidator helps you see where your points actually sit so you can make that decision with real numbers rather than a rough guess.

No. Everything is stored in your browser’s local storage on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to Points Brotherhood or any third party. Clear your browser data and your consolidator clears with it — use the export feature if you want to keep a long-term record.

Yes, completely free. No sign-up, no account, no email required. Open the page, enter your balances, done. It’s one of several free tools built by Points Brotherhood for Australian travellers — see the full suite at the Tools Hub.
