Brisbane Airport Lounge Guide 2026
Updated June 2026. Brisbane Airport has nine lounges across two terminals, and the entry rules are scattered across nine different websites. This guide pulls them into one place: every Brisbane Airport lounge, who gets in free, which Australian credit cards work, and what it costs to pay your way in.
Quick orientation if BNE isn’t your home airport: the Domestic and International terminals are several kilometres apart, so a lounge in one is no use if you’re flying from the other. Domestic is airline territory — Qantas and Virgin run the show. International is where the flexible options live: pay-per-use lounges, Priority Pass, and the card-linked entries.
One thing worth knowing before anything else: the Qantas International Lounge entrance is a construction zone until around September 2026, and it changes how you enter. Details below.

Which credit card gets you into Brisbane Airport lounges?
This is the question most people are actually asking, so here it is plainly. At Brisbane, your card gets you into a lounge three ways.
Qantas Premier Titanium comes with two Qantas lounge passes a year — usable at the Qantas Club domestically or the Qantas International Lounge. That’s the only Australian card with a direct line into a Qantas lounge at BNE.
Amex Velocity Platinum (and the Centurion card, for the three people reading this who hold one) gets you into the Virgin Australia Lounge in the Domestic terminal — two complimentary entries per year on the Velocity Platinum.
Cards with Priority Pass or DragonPass memberships unlock the Escape Lounge at International. That includes the CommBank Ultimate Awards card , Westpac Amplify Signature, and Citi Prestige. Standalone Priority Pass and DragonPass memberships work the same way.
Not sure what your own wallet unlocks? Tick your cards in the Lounge Finder and it will tell you, for Brisbane or any of the 34 airports in our database.
International Terminal lounges
Qantas International Lounge
The main event for most Australian frequent flyers. Entry for Qantas and Emirates First and Business passengers, Qantas Gold and Platinum, Qantas Club members on international Qantas flights, and Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald. It spans three levels behind the News Travels store, open from early morning until the last departure.
⚠️ Reality Check — escalator works until September 2026. From 7 April to around September 2026, the lounge’s airside escalator entrance is closed for works. You now enter landside, from Level 4 of the departures hall, before security — which means when you leave the lounge, you still have to clear security and passport control. Allow a solid buffer. And from 18 April 2026, anyone flying Jetstar international can’t access the lounge at all during the works, regardless of status.
Emirates Lounge
Closed for almost four years through the pandemic, reopened in February 2024 after a full refurbishment — and it now has direct boarding from the lounge onto Emirates flights, which is a quietly great feature. Level 3, near Gate 75. Entry for Emirates First and Business, Skywards Gold and Platinum, and Qantas Gold, Platinum and Platinum One when flying Emirates or Qantas. Hours follow the Emirates departure schedule (evening into the early hours), so don’t plan a morning visit.
If you’re flying Emirates in Economy, you can pay at the door: around US$125 for Skywards members or US$155 for non-members, plus GST. Only Emirates passengers can buy in — no Priority Pass, no walk-ups from other airlines.
Air New Zealand International Lounge
Up the escalator between Gates 81 and 82. Opens 2 hours 30 minutes before each Air New Zealand departure, from 5am daily. Entry for Business Premier passengers, Airpoints Elite, Gold and Koru members, and Star Alliance Gold flying Air NZ or a Star Alliance carrier.
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge
A compact lounge — around 320 square metres — on the mezzanine level near Gate 82. Entry for Singapore Airlines premium cabins, KrisFlyer Gold and Star Alliance Gold. Self-serve bar and buffet with Western and Asian options, plus shower suites. Been recently? Tell us what it’s like — reader reports keep this guide honest.
Escape Lounge
The newest lounge at BNE — opened April 2025 on Level 4 opposite Gate 81, in what used to be the Plaza Premium space. The first Escape Lounge in the southern hemisphere built from scratch. This is the one anyone can use: walk up and pay $80, or pre-book online from $55 per person (at least 24 hours ahead, and pre-booking is the only way to guarantee a spot). If your plans tend to move, LoungePair sells a flexible pass (around $57) that isn’t locked to a date or time. Priority Pass and DragonPass both work here. Open 6am to 1am daily, and kids under 3 are free.
Plaza Premium Lounge
Here’s where I have to be straight with you: Plaza Premium’s situation at BNE is murky. The Escape Lounge took over its old space, and Brisbane Airport’s own lounge directory no longer lists it — yet Priority Pass shows it with morning-only hours (6am to midday), and LoungePair is still selling passes (around $52), which suggests it’s operating in some form. If Plaza Premium is part of your plan, verify before you fly — and if you’ve been through recently, let us know what you found.
Domestic Terminal lounges
Qantas Club
Near Gate 22, sharing a precinct with the Business Lounge. Entry for Qantas Club members, Qantas Gold and above, Oneworld Sapphire — and holders of Qantas Premier Titanium passes.
Qantas Domestic Business Lounge
The step up next door. Qantas Business passengers, Platinum and Platinum One, and Oneworld Emerald. No card gets you in here — this one is earned, not bought.
Virgin Australia Lounge
Level 2, near Gate 40, opening an hour before the first Virgin departure of the day. Entry for Virgin Business passengers, Velocity Gold and Platinum, and Amex Velocity Platinum or Centurion cardholders.
Paying your way in — when a day pass makes sense
If your wallet doesn’t open any door above, the Escape Lounge is your option at International: $55 pre-booked or $80 at the door. For a three-hour wait before a long-haul flight, $55 covering food, drinks and showers beats spending the same on a terminal meal and an uncomfortable chair. For a short connection or a 90-minute domestic wait, save your money — you’ll barely sit down before boarding.
💡 Pro Tip. Escape Lounge entry can sell out — pre-booking at least 24 hours ahead is the only way to guarantee a spot, and it’s $25 cheaper than walking up. Access opens 3 hours before your scheduled departure.
The Emirates cash option exists but it’s hard to recommend at US$125–155 plus GST — unless the alternative is four hours in the terminal before a 1am Dubai departure, in which case I understand the temptation.
Lounge sorted — now sort your data. If you’re flying international out of BNE, load an eSIM before you board rather than paying roaming rates on landing. I’ve used Airalo across multiple trips — here’s my full review of how it held up.

Brisbane Airport lounge FAQs
Which credit card gets me into Brisbane Airport lounges?
Qantas Premier Titanium includes two Qantas lounge passes a year. Amex Velocity Platinum gets you into the Virgin Australia domestic lounge. Cards with Priority Pass or DragonPass — including CommBank Ultimate Awards, Westpac Amplify Signature and Citi Prestige — unlock the Escape Lounge at International.
Can I pay for lounge access at Brisbane Airport?
Yes. The Escape Lounge at the International Terminal is open to anyone — $80 at the door or from $55 pre-booked online at least 24 hours ahead. Emirates also sells lounge entry to its own Economy passengers for around US$125–155 plus GST, paid at the lounge.
Is there a Priority Pass lounge at Brisbane Airport?
Yes — the Escape Lounge at the International Terminal accepts Priority Pass and DragonPass. Priority Pass also lists the Plaza Premium Lounge with limited morning hours, though its current status is uncertain — check before relying on it. There is no Priority Pass lounge in the Domestic terminal.
Are there arrivals lounges at Brisbane Airport?
No. Brisbane has no dedicated arrivals lounges. Qantas and Virgin sometimes informally admit premium international arrivals to their domestic lounges, but with the terminal change and another pass through security, it’s rarely worth the trek.
Can I access a lounge at BNE with a Jetstar or Economy ticket?
Your ticket class doesn’t matter at the Escape Lounge — anyone can pay to enter. Status holders normally access the Qantas International Lounge on Jetstar international flights, but during the escalator works (until around September 2026), Jetstar passengers are excluded entirely.
Is the Emirates Lounge at Brisbane Airport open?
Yes — it reopened in February 2024 after a refurbishment, with direct boarding from the lounge. Hours follow the Emirates departure schedule, typically evening into the early hours.
How early can I get into a Brisbane Airport lounge?
Escape Lounge access opens 3 hours before your scheduled departure. The Air New Zealand lounge opens 2.5 hours before each Air NZ departure. The Virgin lounge opens an hour before the first Virgin flight of the day. Airline lounges generally admit you once checked in for a same-day departure.
