Hello Team PB,

Have you ever wanted to know how many points it takes to get to your favourite destination? Our Rough Guide will help you work out how many points away you are from your next front-of-the-plane adventure. One of our most popular posts to date!

After reading Milton's post on Alaska Airlines you may want to reconsider where your frequent flyer points end up. For regular flyers Alaska's Milage Plan may be a great place to direct your points (and yes you can use them to redeem our favourites such as Qantas, Cathay, Finnair and Emirates).

We have our first guest writer, Pearl, who used her credit card insurance to claim on her cracked windscreen. She only realised this after checking in with the PB. It's a funny read.

The other must read is Drew's review of the new Wildlife Retreat at Taronga. Only been open for the past month and worth saving up for, a significant upgrade on the Roar and Snore experience.

Finally we are giving a lucky reader the chance to "Ask Milton Anything" to help out with your next booking. All we ask is you write a review of the experience for us to share (just like Pearl!). Send your request to drew@pointsbrotherhood.com

The Pier First Class Lounge has been universally regarded as one of the best First Class lounges in the world since opening in 2015, and I was excited to finally be seeing it for myself.Designed by Ilse Crawford to be residential and comfortable, in sharp contrast to the modern and minimalist The Wing First Class Lounge at the opposite end …

Review: Le Bernardin

Review: Le Bernardin
Le Bernardin is one of New York’s iconic 3 Michelin Star restaurants so I was very pleased to have the opportunity to review it as part of the Cathay New Year Deal trip.I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Le Bernardin in May 2018 and more recently in October 2019 with the seafood being outstanding on both occasions. Upon arrival, …

Review: How to Survive Sydney to Honolulu in Economy

There are some flights too cheap to justify points or a business class trip. However they are often at terrible times of day. They include the 1:45am Scoot departure from Singapore’s Changi airport (4:45am Sydney time), the 12:15am Jetstar Darwin to Sydney flight or the 10 hour Jetstar overnight flight from Sydney to Honolulu. I have undertaken all of these, …
